Records

Listing a site creates 4 different records :

C = The correspondant’s record contains your personal data (cf our confidentiallity page)
S = The company’s record concerns the editor’s identity.
E = The establishment’s record lists data specific to a particular location. While in most cases, there will be only one establishment’s, the headquarter’s one, you may find appropriate to associate more than one business location to the same site (URL).
U = The URL’s or site’s record describes the site’s content.

A correspondent can manage several business. A company is associated with, at least, one establishment. AIG has a world corporate site. Its local entities (branches or subsidiaries) refer generally to the main corporate website.

A single business may have several establishments (several business addresses). The same business may have its headquarter in Los Angeles and a secondary establishment in San Francisco.

An establishment can manage several sites (URL).

An URL can, therefore, correspond to several establishments and/or several companies. AssurWeb directory allows you to deal with these complex situations.
